BYERS, Colo. – The United Rebel Sprint Series and the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series are bringing 305 sprint car racing back to Colorado.
The recent agreement to co-sanction with IMCA has brought the 10-year-old series back to the state of Colorado. In a partnership with Don Hulse, owner and promoter of Colorado Motorsports Park in Byers, Colo., the 305 racing series has been given a shot in the arm as a result of the URSS/IMCA partnership. Colorado racers will now be able to compete for IMCA Colorado and National Points as well as URSS Regional and National points.
Colorado Motorsports Park will host eight URSS/IMCA Colorado Regional dates as well as a National Points race in 2016.
URSS/IMCA Regional Points races are scheduled for April 23, May 28, June 25, Aug. 27, Sept. 17, Sept. 24 and Oct. 7.
CMSP will host the seventh of the 12 URSS/IMCA National Points races on July 30, which will draw racers from several states to compete on the three-eighths-mile oval.
