BROWNSTOWN, Ill. – Brownstown is a really fast joint for midgets. It always gets right up on the fence and you can really sling it around there.

I started on the pole of my heat. I got the start. Tucker Klaasmeyer (who started third) showed his nose once at the beginning, but I didn’t see him for the rest of the race. Even with a heat race win it put us starting eighth.

We were really good at the beginning of the race. I was passing for fourth when Tucker and I banged wheels down the straightaway, which left me with a flat left-rear tire. The crew did an awesome job of getting me back out there. We came from the back to run seventh.

Tanner Thorson has been really good at the start of this week, winning the first two races. I really don’t think we’re far off his pace, we just need a couple more things to fall our way and we will be right up front.

I also want to wish the best for my teammate Holly Shelton and Daum Motorsports driver Presley Trudeson as they were both taken to the hospital during racing incidents. Get well soon!
