POWRi Adjusts WAR & Iowa Sprint League Dates

BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Originally slated as a stand-alone weekend as the start of the season for the POWRi Lucas Oil Iowa Sprint League, the events on June 5-6 will now feature both the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League and the POWRi Lucas Oil Iowa Sprint League.

Initially scheduled to race at US-36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway for the weekend, the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR and Iowa Sprint Leagues will now venture to Iowa for a visit to the three-eighths-mile Lee County Speedway oval on Friday, June 5, with $3,000 to win and $300 to start.

Pits will open at 4 p.m. with racing starting at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, June 6 the weekend of non-winged sprint car action continues in Missouri with a visit to Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Mo.

Pit gates will open at 2 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing to follow.

Fans unable to make it to the track on June 5 or June 6 can catch all the action streaming live on POWRi.TV.

POWRi officials are working on revising the remainder of the June schedule to comply with state and local regulations.
