Felker Dominates I-44 POWRi West Stop

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Andrew Felker collected his second POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League of the season on Saturday evening at I-44 Riverside Speedway.

Starting the 25-lap main event on the outside of the front row, Andrew Felker launched his way into the lead on lap one around the top side. Chance Morton followed along in the second position with Tristin Thomas running third.

The red flag soon waved for the No. 27B of A.J. Burns, who found himself upside down in turns three and four.

When racing resumed Felker took advantage and rocketed out into the lead, with Morton and Thomas in pursuit. Felker continued to maintain his lead throughout the feature as Morton and Thomas waged a battle for second.

Felker entered slower traffic at the halfway mark of the 25-lap contest, but he still managed to extend his lead over the rest of the field. The caution flag waved again on lap 15, stacking up the field for a 10-lap dash to the checkered.
