COLUMBUS, Ind. – Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports continued the expansion of its driver development program on Thursday with the addition of Gavan Boschele to the team’s lineup.
Boschele will compete in a part-time schedule with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League this year, as well as marquee micro sprint events that fit into his calendar as well.
The teenage sensation will debut with KKM during the opening night of the eighth annual Turnpike Challenge with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League Friday at I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, Okla.
“Gavan is one of the most talented young kids coming up through micro sprints, and we decided to test him in a midget to see how he handled that transition,” said team co-owner Keith Kunz. “He’s one of the best I’ve ever seen for his first time in a midget and I’m looking forward to working with him this year in the micro and the midget and being a part of his future.”
Boschele built his dirt-track skillset at North Carolina’s Millbridge Speedway, competing in outlaw karts and micro sprints over the past few years.
Across quarter midgets, karting and micro sprint racing, Boschele has racked up more than 300 feature wins and 24 championships over the past nine seasons.
Boschele’s array of partners, including Drydene Performance Products, Motorsport Games and Traxion.gg, will continue their support as he takes the next step up the racing ladder with KKM.
“First, I’d like to thank Mr. Keith and Mr. Pete (Willoughby) for this opportunity,” added Boschele. “I’m incredibly humbled and thankful to be able to join Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports. They have such a great team and a proven formula for success. I’m looking forward to working with the entire KKM organization. My immediate goal will be to try and get comfortable in these cars as quickly as possible. As always, every time we’re on the track, I’ll be working hard to be better and constantly looking to improve.
“I’m going to work hard for this team and give them everything I have each race.”
