URC Big Diamond Race Postponed

POTTSVILLE, Pa. — A 90-percent chance of rain forced the postponement of URC’s only visit to the Big Diamond Raceway set for Friday night. An alternative or make-up date may not be possible due to an already heavy Big Diamond  schedule for the balance of the year.

For the Rislone URC Sprint Series, they will return to action on May 10 at Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway with the ninth running of the Jack Gunn Memorial, paying $3,500 to win.

In the three previous URC events, Johnny Bridges, Lance Moss and Mark Smith scored the victories. The first two events of the season were part of URC’s Carolina’s Opening Weekend, both of those events were non-point races. On April 19, Mark Smith and the Mach1 Chassis sprinter led all 25 laps to take the victory.
