MOORESVILLE, N.C. – One winged 410 sprint car race remains on the schedule this season and Brad Sweet has solidified his stop at the top of the National Sprint Car Rankings.
Sweet has ended his season with a third consecutive World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series championship, and stands atop the national rankings with a 3.667 average finish in 81 starts.
Donny Schatz will end up second with a 4.214 average finish in 85 races.
Carson Macedo, David Gravel and Kyle Larson round out the top five.
With a race scheduled Saturday at Pennsylvania’s BAPS Motor Speedway, the Eastern region is the only region still competing. With a victory Saturday night at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, Brent Marks has moved to the top of the Eastern region standings.
Dominic Scelzi won the Western region, while Sye Lynch and A.J. Flick tied atop the PA-OH region. Other regional winners were Jason Keith (Mid-America), D.J. Foos (Great Lakes), Brendan Mullen (Great Plains) and James McFadden (Northwest).
One hundred sixty-seven drivers have combined to win 487 features.
