Sweet Remains Atop National 410 Rankings

CONCORD, N.C. — World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series point leader Brad Sweet continues to lead the National 410 Sprint Car Rankings this week after winning during his only start last week.

Sweet’s fifth World of Outlaws victory of the season pushed his average finish to 5.194 in 31 starts this season. The top five in the national rankings remained unchanged this week, with Danny Dietrich, Donny Schatz, Daryn Pittman and David Gravel holding their positions.

The only driver moving into the top 10 this week is Dale Blaney, who ranks seventh in the national standings.

Dietrich leads the Eastern region on the strength of 10 victories, while other regional leaders are Buddy Kofoid (Great Lakes), Billy Balog (Great Plains), Sweet (West), Paul Nienhiser (Mid America) and Jack Sodeman Jr. (Ohio-PA).

The season has been hampered by rain and drivers in most regions have yet to run enough races to qualify for the national rankings.

Seventy-four drivers have combined to win 145 features run through June 23.

Dietrich leads the way with 10 victories. Sweet and Freddie Rahmer have six victories each.
