CONCORD, N.C. — Brad Sweet remained at the top of the National Sprint Car Rankings for the second consecutive week, while David Gravel jumped from fourth to second in the standings.
Sweet’s average finish improved to 3.120 over 65 starts this season.
Gravel, who picked up a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series victory Saturday night at California’s Calistoga Speedway, moved to second with a 3.620 average finish in 63 starts.
Donny Schatz falls to third with a 3.640 average finish in 62 starts.
With a national best 71 starts, Danny Dietrich dropped to fourth in the standings with his average finish falling to 3.714.
Daryn Pittman is fifth, with Logan Schuchart, Logan Wagner, Cap Henry, Jade Hastings and Buddy Kofoid completing the top 10.
Dietrich leads the Eastern region on the strength of 14 victories, while other regional leaders are Buddy Kofoid (Great Lakes), Billy Balog (Great Plains), Logan Schuchart (Northwest), Shane Golobic (West), Jacob Patton (Mid-America), Donny Schatz (Northwestern) and Carl Bowser. (Ohio-PA).
One hundred and 23 drivers have combined to win 340 features run through Sept. 15, with 689 drivers participating.
