Sweet Edges McFadden By .012 Seconds

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa — Brad Sweet held off a late challenge from polesitter James McFadden to earn his third consecutive Kubota High Limit Racing sprint car victory Friday at 34 Raceway.

McFadden started on the pole and led the first 25 laps of the non-stop 30-lap affair only to lose the point to Sweet in lapped traffic.

MacFadden wasn’t finished and guided the Roth Motorsports No. 83 to one last challenge which came up a mere .012 seconds short in a photo-finish.

It was Sweet’s fifth High Limit triumph of the season and his sixth overall victory aboard the Kasey Kahne Racing No. 49.

Brent Marks came home third and has finished in the top 10 in all 13 races this season.

Aaron Reutzel and Brian Brown rounded out the top five.

Kerry Madsen was the top qualifier for the 45-car field.
