IRVINGTON, Ala. — Troy DeCaire took the lead on lap three and never looked back Saturday night en route to winning the 25-lap winged sprint car feature at Mobile Int’l Speedway.
The Tampa, Fla., driver was one of four visiting drivers from the Tampa Bay are who participated in Saturday night’s event. DeCaire, who started in the fourth position, Took the lead from Todd Fayard and beat him to the stripe by 1.604 seconds followed by Daniel Miller, Shane Morgan and Tommy Nichols rounding out the top five.
With Saturday’s win, DeCaire now boasts a six-race winning streak that started on March 2. During this streak he has won in three different regions of the country that incudes his most recent May 11 Granite Super Sprints win at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington.
DeCaire is currently the country’s 2019 pavement sprint car feature wins leader with six feature victories.
