Stewart Targets IRA Sprint Race In June

MCHENRY, Ill. – The Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Series has announced that three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart will race with the series on June 15 at the Plymouth (Wis.) Dirt Track.

Stewart will be making the trek from Michigan Int’l Speedway that afternoon following NASCAR Sprint Cup practice, and then returning there from Plymouth to compete on Sunday afternoon in the Quicken Loans 400.

Stewart takes his sprint-car racing serious, and this is one of about 50 or so sprint-car events he’ll be competing in this year in addition to an already very full NASCAR schedule.

There are other potential IRA date(s) being discussed for later in the season that Stewart may compete in, but this date at Plymouth is official.
