Starks Goes Two-For-Two With High Limit

ALGER, Wash. — Trey Starks is two-for-two in Kubota High Limit Racing competition.

The Washington native picked up his second victory in as many nights winning Thursday’s preliminary night feature for the Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals.

Driving the family-owned No. 55x, Starks won on Wednesday night at Grays Harbor Raceway.

 

Starting outside the front row for the 30-lap main event, Starks survived a mid-race challenge from Justin Sanders and a late-race charge from Shane Golobic to earn the $10,000 triumph.

Golobic brought Matt Wood’s No. 17w home second for his best High Limit finish, while Sanders was third, earning his third podium finish with the traveling national tour.

High Limit regulars Brent Marks and Justin Peck completed the top five.

Golobic was the night’s high-point man with 487 markers, while Sanders and Marks tied for second with 478 points.

James McFadden was the fast qualifier for the 41-car field with a lap of 11.752. seconds.
