FRANKLIN, Pa. — Brandon Spithaler rebounded from some recent adversity to win Sunday’s FAST on Dirt sprint car main event at Tri City Raceway Park.
Dylan Cisney and Cody Bova were on the front row for the 25-lap event, with Cisney taking the early lead. Bova ran in second in the early going, followed by Spithaler, Zane DeVault, Carl Bowser and Dale Blaney.
Spithaler was quick around the top of the big Venango County oval. He moved into second by lap five. Two laps later, he claimed the lead coming off turn two.
Spithaler stretched his lead as the race progressed. Cisney continued in second, followed by Bova, DeVault and Blaney.
Spithaler, who demolished a car at the recent Don Martin Memorial, took the checkers ahead of Cisney, DeVault, Bova and Blaney.
Returning after a short absence, Erick Rudolph claimed the win in the Modified class presented by 21st Energy Group. This was the first event conducted since the track merged its 358 Modifieds with the Big Blocks. Taking the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stock feature was Bobby Whitling. Ayden Cipriano captured the RUSH Sportsmen Modified part of the program.
