Song Remains The Same In Sprint Car Rankings

CONCORD, N.C. – Kyle Larson banked $20,000 for winning Sunday’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series feature at Huset’s Speedway and further extended his advantage atop this week’s National Sprint Car Rankings.

Larson, who has won 27 winged sprint car features in 50 starts this season, leads the rankings with an average finish of 5.520.

Pennsylvania veteran Lance Dewease remains second in the rankings with an average finish of 5.565.

Danny Dietrich, who also leads the Eastern region, jumps to third in this week’s rankings with an average finish of 5.180 in a national-best 62 starts. Dietrich has been dropping his worst finishes since he reached the 50-start plateau several weeks ago.

World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series point leader Brad Sweet ranks fourth, with Ohio driver Cap Henry, who won the Pete Jacobs Memorial at Wayne County Speedway on Sunday, rounding out the top five.

Eighty drivers have reached the mandatory 20-start plateau to be ranked.

Other regional leaders are Danny Dietrich (Eastern), Cap Henry (Great Lakes), Sweet (Great Plains), Jacob Patton (Mid-America), Jack Sodeman Jr. (OH-PA) and Justin Sanders (Western).

Eighty-nine drivers have won the 249 features run this season.
