CHATHAM, La. – Mark Smith completed a sweep of the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters Bayou Sprint Nationals by winning from the pole Sunday afternoon at Chatham Speedway.
Smith defeated sixth-starting Dale Howard for the victory atop the quarter-mile, semi-banked dirt oval. It marked his fourth USCS triumph in seven races this season.
With his 33rd career USCS feature win, Smith moved past Marshall Skinner for fifth on the 360 sprint car tour’s all-time win list.
Landon Britt filled out the podium, with Max Stambaugh coming from 10th on the grid to finish fourth. Past URC champion Davie Franek crossed the finish line fifth.
Matt Covington, Danny Smith, Casey Burkham, Chris Martin and Ryan Timms closed the top 10, with 13-time and defending USCS champion Terry Gray finishing 11th.
