Smith Stops Stewart In Florida

MILTON, Fla. — Mark Smith held off Tony Stewart to win Saturday night’s United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Oil feature at Southern Raceway.

The event concluded a two-night program at the Florida dirt track with Smith starting outside the front row and winning the 30-lap event, while Stewart, who started fifth, finished second.

Stewart, who won on Friday, continues to lead the series point standings.

Davie Franek finished third, ahead of Johnny Bridges and Jim Shuster.

Trynt Lloyd won the USCS 600 mini sprint feature, beating David Hall and Robby Hoffman to the checkered flag.
