Short Track Challenge Returns To SOD

MAHLE/Clevite Short Track Challenge will return to the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt tour this season.

The challenge will consist of seven races that drivers will be able to earn extra winnings as they compete in these select events. This point fund is an addition to the standard purse each event pays out and the season long championship point fund that Engine Pro and ARP support as title sponsors.

The Short Track Challenge will be held at seven different speedways — six in Michigan and one in Indiana, giving race fans the opportunity to see the best winged sprint car drivers in the state do battle for this championship race within the championship chase.

The events that will be a part of this exciting chase will be on the following dates: Saturday May 18, Plymouth Speedway; June 15, Butler Speedway; June 28, Mt. Pleasant Speedway; June 29, Merritt Raceway; July 19, Tri City Motor Speedway; Aug. 30, Winston Speedway; and Aug. 31, Crystal Motor Speedway.

The driver earning the most points will be awarded a $1,000 payment as the winner of the MAHLE/Clevite Short Track Challenge. Point fund monies will be available for the top 10 in the 2013 MAHLE/Clevite Short Track Challenge.
