TULSA, Okla. — Steven Shebester scored his first win at New Tulsa Speedway on Friday with the OCRS IMCA Sprint Car Series.
Shebester came from the fourth-starting spot at the quarter-mile clay oval for his fifth series victory of the year.
“I like going to tracks I have never been to,” Shebester said in victory lane. “It is definitely a paperclip shape. Down the straightaways is fast and the turns are real tight. It made for good racing.
“The track was decent tonight,” he added. “It is a driver’s track. If you go high you have to be careful or you will go into the wall. If you run low you have to pedal it.”
Noah Harris and Sheldon Barksdale finished on the podium. Terry Easum and Alison Slaton rounded out the top five.
Ross Moore, Casey Willis, Doug Fry, Joe Bob Lee and Larry Bratti completed the top 10.
