SARVER, Pa. — Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point leader Ricky Thornton Jr. plans to make his 410 winged sprint car debut this weekend at Lernerville Speedway.
Thornton confirmed the news that was broken by FloRacing on social media Thursday afternoon. Thornton will drive Bernie Stuebgen’s popular No. 71 Indy Race Parts sprint car in High Limit Racing action at the four-tenths-mile race track.
Thornton has won 24 features this season, including 23 in a dirt late model.
Thornton has found success racing micro sprints and has competed in the Chili Bowl Nationals in a midget and made his USAC midget debut earlier this summer.
