CONCORD, N.C. – With a pair of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions features at Georgia’s Screven Motor Speedway over the weekend, the Eastern region of the National Sprint Car Rankings has also kicked off competition.
Thanks in part to his victory in Saturday night’s $10,000-to-win finale, Aaron Reutzel leads the standings by two markers over Donny Schatz, who won Friday night’s feature.
The Eastern region continues competition Monday and Tuesday at Florida’s East Bay Raceway Park and Wednesday through Sunday at Volusia Speedway Park.
The Western region opened its season Jan. 22-24 at Arizona Speedway. Carson Macedo leads Buddy Kofoid by two points after three races in that part of the country.
The national rankings will begin once drivers have made 20 starts on the season.
