Chase Randall will return to the cockpit of the TKS Motorsports No. 2KS sprint car next year.
Along with team owners Troy and Tammy Renfro, Randall plans to contend regularly at Iowa’s Knoxville Raceway. The last time TKS Motorsports won a track championship at the famed half-mile was in 2018 with Austin McCarl at the helm.
Randall is the reigning 360 sprint car track champion at Knoxville.
The team also plans to travel through the Midwest when their schedule permits to race with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and High Limit Racing.
“We’re privileged and excited to have a young talent like Chase (Randall) continue his career at TKS Motorsports,” Troy Renfro said in a press release. “He brought a lot to the table this past season and we were thrilled with his dedication and his abilities behind the wheel. I’m confident great things are ahead for this team. We have a lot of work to do this off-season but we’ll be ready to go.”
Though Randall joined the Iowa-based operation in June, his first start for the team was technically at Knoxville Raceway’s season opener in May, when the 18-year-old filled in for Ian Madsen. Randall finished fourth.
Later in the year, the duo would score a runner-up finish during their preliminary feature at the prestigious Knoxville Nationals. The “Quickest Chicken” went on to finish 13th in the event’s finale and earn rookie-of-the-year honors.
“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to rejoin the Renfro Family at TKS Motorsports,” Randall said in a press release. “They own and operate a top-notch operation and I’m confident big things are ahead for this team. I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m ready for the new year.”
