KOKOMO, Ind. — Justin Peck and Buch Motorsports became the fifth different team to win a High Limit Racing Series sprint car feature this season Tuesday night at Kokomo Speedway.
Peck earned a whopping $26,023 for holding off Kyle Larson in a wild battle to the checkered flag.
Â
Larson led much of the race, but Peck ran him down in the closing laps and slid past the No. 57 to grab the lead with nine laps remaining.
However, the race was far from over with Larson mounting a final charge thanks to a late caution flag when Dylan Norris spun with two laps to go.
Larson made a final lap charge but came up short with Peck taking the victory. Rico Abreu finished third, while Corey Day and Cole Macedo rounded out the top five.
The finish:
Justin Peck, Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Corey Day, Cole Macedo, Justin Sanders, Brady Bacon, Cap Henry, Logan Seavey, Parker Price-Miller, Cory Eliason, Kevin Thomas Jr., Anthony Macri, Jamie Veal, Chase Randall, Byron Reed, J.J.
