BLOOMSBURG, Pa. —- Justin Peck and Buch Motorsports have certainly found their stride racing with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1.
Peck won his second consecutive feature and his sixth of the season Wednesday night at Bloomsburg Fair Raceway. The victory was worth $6,000.
A perfect momentum kick for the remainder of the Tri-State Summer Swing presented by Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts, Peck’s Bloomsburg triumph was a first, adding to Peck’s impressive stretch of 11 career All Star wins at 11 different tracks.
Peck, ace of the Coastal Race Parts No. 13 sprint car, started from the pole and never looked back, battling through multiple waves of heavy traffic while fending off defending All Star champion and point leader Tyler Courtney.
“Sunshine” did his best to close in on Peck in the last three circuits, but Peck’s decision to power by a lapped car with less than two to go sealed his winning fate, putting a comfortable distance between himself and the familiar No. 7bc.
Courtney hung on to finish second, followed by Anthony Macri, the most recent sub to fill the seat for Sam McGhee Motorsports’ Parker Price-Miller, Danny Dietrich and Kyle Reinhardt.
“Tonight’s track really fits my style…cowboy up with some rough spots,” Peck said. “I wasn’t very happy with the car following the heat race. I came back in and I’m pretty sure the guys changed all four shocks. We got ourselves dialed back in pretty quick. We have a pretty good package for tracks like this.
“This is what we are here to do…we’re here to win races,” Peck added. “If we keep winning races, the points just kinda take care of themselves.”
