PARAGON, Ind. — C.J. Leary took advantage of several caution flags and a mistake by leader Jake Swanson to score the $14,000 victory Sunday night in the No Way Out 40 non-winged sprint car race at Paragon Speedway. It was the biggest single-day payout in Paragon history.
It has been a year of firsts for Leary, who won the inaugural race of the new Xtreme Outlaw Sprint Car Series at Florida’s Volusia Speedway Park last month, became the first winner of the No Way Out 40 at Paragon, its new home after a 12-year run at Brownstown Speedway.
Swanson held on to second with Kevin Thomas Jr., Mario Clouser and Geoff Ensign rounded out the top five.
The race, originally scheduled for Saturday, was postponed to Sunday. There were 39 sprint cars on hand.
The event was broadcast live by SPEED SPORT affiliate, Dirt2Media.
