JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Besting the field of 33 cars at Friday’s Herb Barlow Memorial at Jacksonville Speedway, Paul Nienhiser took advantage of a late-race caution to add to his point lead with his fifth Midwest Open Wheel Ass’n sprint car victory of the season.

After working his way past early race leaders Dustin Barks and Joe B. Miller, following a red flag for Zach Daum and Jacob Patton, Nienhiser felt pressure as the field weaved through lapped traffic.

Parker Price-Miller threw his hat into the ring, coming on strong to challenge Nienhiser for a handful of laps. All eyes fell on Logan Seavey in the latter portion of the race, as the Sutter, Calif., driver powered past 17 competitors to bring home the No. 01 Donnie Cooper-owned machine in third.

Seavey went on to win the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget portion of the event.

The finish:

1 – Paul Nienhiser 9X (3), 2 – Parker Price-Miller 96 (4), 3 – Logan Seavey 01 (20), 4 – Dustin Barks 22 (1), 5 – Ayrton Gennetten 3 (7), 6 – Morgan Turpen 10M (19), 7 – Josh Schneiderman 49 (12), 8 – Cory Bruns 44 (13), 9 – Danny Smith 4S (5), 10 – Terry Babb 47 (9), 11 – Jeremy Standridge 10S (16), 12 – Kyle Schuett 9K (10), 13 – Andy Bishop 33 (17), 14 – Steve Short 8S (6), 15 – Logan Faucon 52F (8), 16 – Joe B Miller 31B (2), 17 – Jason Keith 28 (11), 18 – Robbie Standridge 17 (21), 19 – Zach Daum 5D (18), 20 – Jacob Patton 79J (14), 21 – Colton Fisher 007 (15 )
