National Sprint Rankings: Still, Sweet Holds Strong

Despite weather continuing to limit the number of winged 410 sprint car races, Brad Sweet is at the top of the National Sprint Car Rankings for a fifth consecutive week.

Sweet, who leads the High Limit Racing standings, has an average finish of 4.824 in 34 starts this season.

World of Outlaws point leader David Gravel ranks second with a 5.125 average finish in 32 races.

In the midst of a hot streak that saw him win Friday’s High Limit feature at Lucas Oil Speedway, Tyler Courtney has climbed to third in the standings with an average finish of 5.50 in 38 events.

Pennsylvania driver Troy Wagaman Jr. and 10-time World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz complete the top five.

Sixty-six drivers have reached 20 required starts to be eligible for the national rankings and 685 drivers have run at least one 410 main event this season.

Danny Dietrich continues to pace the Eastern region, while Cole Macedo holds the lead in the Western standings. Sweet holds the top of the Mid-America region standings.

Cale Thomas leads the Great Lakes region and Aaron Reutzel paces the Great Plains standings.

A.J. Flick continues to pace the PA-OH region and Robbie Price has moved to the lead in the Northwestern stanza.

Gravel, Courtney, Dietrich and Anthony Macri have each won nine features.
