National Sprint Rankings: Macedo Caps Off Season Strong

Carson Macedo and David Gravel each won features during the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, but with both of their seasons now over, Macedo leads Gravel by five-hundredths of a point in the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Macedo, driver of the Jason Johnson Racing No. 41 has a 3.054 average finish in 71 starts compared to Gravel’s 3.109 average finish in 70 events. Gravel won a national-best 16 features and the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series title.

High Limit Racing champion Brad Sweet is third with an average finish of 3.679 in 68 events.

Jade Hastings and Buddy Kofoid complete the top five.

There is only one 410 winged sprint car race remaining this season, and none of the top five drivers are expected to compete in Saturday’s race at Pennsylvania’s BAPS Motor Speedway.

One hundred and 72 drivers have reached 20 required starts to be eligible for the national rankings and 871 drivers have run at least one 410 main event this season. 

Anthony Macri leads the Eastern region and Cole Macedo tops the Western region. 

Joe B. Miller tops the Mid-America region.

Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes and Mark Dobmeier tops the Great Plains region.

A.J. Flick leads the PA-OH region and Robbie Price is best in the Northwestern stanza.

One hundred and 70 drivers have won the 485 features run this season.

Gravel lead the nation with 16 victories.
