Despite a disappointing week at the Knoxville Nationals, David Gravel remains on top of the National Sprint Car Rankings this week.
Gravel, who leads the nation with 14 victories, has an average finish of 4.854 in 48 starts this season. He also leads the World of Outlaws standings.
Carson Macedo, who finished fourth in the Knoxville Nationals, ranks second this week with an average finish of 5.708 in 48 starts. High Limit Racing point leader Brad Sweet is third with an average finish of 5.733 in 45 races, while Donny Schatz is fourth with a 5.735 average finish in 49 races. Macedo, Sweet and Schatz are separated by less than four-hundreths of a point.
Pennsylvania veteran A.J. Flick ranks fifth in the national rankings.
One hundred and four drivers have reached 20 required starts to be eligible for the national rankings and 786 drivers have run at least one 410 main event this season. Seven drivers have reached the 50-start plateau and can begin dropping their worst finishes.
There were no changes to the regional point leaders with Anthony Macri (Eastern), Cole Macedo (Western), Sweet (Mid-America), Cap Henry (Great Lakes), Mark Dobmeier (Great Plains), A.J. Flick (PA-OH) and Robbie Price (Northwestern) remaining on top.
One hundred and 47 drivers have won the 342 features run so far this season.
