MWOA Sets Tentative 2012 Sprint Car Slate


LINCOLN, Ill. — With one year under its belt, the newest 410 sprint car series in the Midwest is surging into 2012.

In addition to returning contingency sponsors, the Midwest Open Wheel Ass’n (MOWA) is announcing six new partners, and would like to welcome Hoosier Tire for this year’s campaign.

The series has tentatively set up a race schedule consisting of 20 nights of action in Illinois and Iowa. The schedule is a work in progress as officials work behind the scenes to build a series for its fans, racers, promoters and partners.

Contingency sponsors returning in 2012 include DMI, Eagle Chassis, HRP Wings, Maxim Chassis, RaceBumpers, and Super Shox.

New contingency sponsors this season are Brown & Miller Racing Solutions (BMRS), Butlerbuilt Professional Seat Systems, Hinchman Indy Uniforms and Racewear, Keizer Wheels,, and Ron Wicks VP Racing Fuel.

In 2012, a right-rear Hoosier tire rule will be enacted.

The series’ tentative schedule opens April 20 in Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway.
