JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Joe B. Miller made the most of his trip to Jacksonville Speedway on Friday evening as he walked away victorious after winning the Ron Milton Race of Champions Season Championship event for the Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series.
Miller started in the third position in the 25-lap feature and set in behind early leader Scotty Milan before overtaking Milan as the field entered into lapped traffic.
Miller’s run to the front also brought fifth-starting Paul Nienhiser and Gunner Ramey, who started in the 12th starting spot. As the field navigated around lapped cars, Miller was able to move his No. 51b virtually anywhere on the quarter-mile.Â
Austin Archdale, who started second, ran inside of the top five before the field slowed for a lap 22 yellow flag.
Friday’s victory for Joe B. Miller was his third career MOWA Sprint Car Series victory and second at Jacksonville Speedway.
