HAGERSTOWN, Md. — For the third time this week, Brent Marks got the best of NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson.
Round seven of Pennsylvania Speedweek brought 36 winged sprint cars to Hagerstown Speedway and Marks won for the third time in the past four nights. It was his ninth sprint car victory of the season and third of Speedweek.
Larson took the early lead and led the first 22 laps of the red-clay half-mile dirt track, but Marks was closing fast and claimed the lead on lap 23.
Marks led the remainder of the 30-lap race to earn the $8,000 victory and extend his Speedweek point lead to 62 points over Anthony Macri.
Larson finished second, with Macri, Danny Dietrich and Ryan Smith rounding out the top five.
