GIBSONTON, Fla. — Dylan Westbrook looked well on his way to victory on night two of the King of the 360s at East Bay Raceway Park, but lapped traffic played a factor as Mark Smith stole the victory.
Smith ran down Westbrook in the late going and charged to his third victory of the month after two wins last week at Bubba Racerway Park.
Smith was joined by his crew and his parents in victory lane and made sure to thank his wife and new baby back home in Sanbury, Pa., where he builds sprint car chassis for a living.
Westbrook finished second with Thomas Kennedy, Terry McCarl and A.J. Maddox rounding out the top five.
Luke Thomas squeezed past Robby Hoffman to win the 25-lap mini sprint feature.
