Macedo Holds Slim Lead In National Sprint Car Rankings

Carson Macedo won Saturday night’s Dennis Roth Classic at California’s Thunderbowl Raceway and he continues to lead the weekly edition of the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Macedo, who has won nine features this season, has a 3.260 average finish in 62 starts, which puts him slightly ahead of World of Outlaws point leader David Gravel in the rankings.

Gravel has an average finish of 3.340 in 61 races. High Limit Racing point leader Brad Sweet ranks third with a 3.980 average finish in 62 races.

Jake Hastings made his 20th start of the season over the weekend, making him eligible for the national rankings, and he sits fourth with a 4.350 average finish in 20 races. Tyler Courtney ranks fifth with a 4.580 average finish in 63 starts.

One hundred and 60 drivers have reached 20 required starts to be eligible for the national rankings and 848 drivers have run at least one 410 main event this season.

Anthony Macri leads the Eastern region and Cole Macedo tops the Western region. Ayrton Gennetten and Joe B. Miller are tied atop the Mid-America region. Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes and Mark Dobmeier tops the Great Plains region. A.J. Flick leads the PA-OH region and Robbie Price is best in the Northwestern stanza.

One hundred and 69 drivers have won the 448 features run this season. Macri and Gravel lead the nation with 15 victories each.
