ANDERSON, Ind. – Little 500 Hall of Fame officials have confirmed that 31st annual Little 500 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony schedule for Sept. 5 is still on schedule.
The induction ceremony will be held the afternoon of the 72nd annual Pay Less Little 500 at Anderson Speedway.
The Class of 2020 includes Jason Goacher, Mark McKeague and the late Dick Fuller.
“This has been a very unusual year due to the COVID-19 pandemic” explained Little 500 Hall of Fame President David Sink. “Despite everything that has happened thus far in 2020 due to COVID-19, the 31st annual Little 500 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Luncheon is still on schedule and we look forward to inducting three more worthy individuals permanently into the Little 500 Hall of Fame.
“If you’re not doing anything the afternoon of the race, the induction ceremony is truly a fun event and is open to anyone,” Sink continued. “It’s a great place to meet former drivers, track officials, and other former inductees and hear great stories from years past. Its also one of our only fund raisers and the proceeds from this ceremony go towards helping with the costs of the awards we present our inductees. With everything that’s happened this year, I’m just thankful these individuals will still get to be honored for their efforts and contributions towards the Little 500 with a public ceremony. Many other ceremonies of this type have been canceled or postponed.”
Tickets for the 31st annual Little 500 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Luncheon are $15 each and can be purchased by calling 765-278-8231 or the Anderson Speedway ofifices 765-642-0206. There are plenty of tickets still available, but ticket sales will be cut off a couple days prior to the event.
