Landon Crawley Lands New Ride

CONCORD, N.C. — Sprint car racer Landon Crawley and team owner Jason Sides are going their separate ways after contesting the full World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series schedule this season.

The 16-year-old Crawley noted this week that he will be joining Michael Dutcher Motorsports for a 80-to-90-race schedule next season.

“First and foremost, my family and I would like to thank Jason Sides and the entire Sides Motorsports Team/Family for taking me in and not knowing what the 2024 season would hold for us,” Crawley said in a press release. “Jason and Jimmy instantly became my family along with all of the sponsors and supporters of Sides Motorsports. Jason taught me a lot about life and racing as we traveled thousands of miles together from coast to coast.

“We as a team had several great moments throughout the season and we also endured the not-so-great nights as a team. To be 16 years old and to have the opportunity to be a rookie-of-the-year contender with the World of Outlaws is by far the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Doing it with Jason Sides Motorsports was an honor.”

Sides Motorsports also issued a statement thanking Crawley for his efforts and confirming the team will return to the World of Outlaws tour next season.

“Sides Motorsports will be making an announcement in the weeks to come on our plans for the 2025 season,” the statement said. “One thing is sure and that is we will be back with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 2025.”
