Kid Karts Making Fort Wayne Rumble Return

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Showcasing talents of all ages and multiple divisions has long been the standard of the Rumble in Fort Wayne.

To bolster that benchmark, event officials announced Wednesday the Kid Kart division will return to the slate in this year’s Dec. 17-18 running of the Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales-sponsored event inside the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

“We are excited about the event status achieved by the Rumble,” promoter Larry Boos said. “For the drivers, this is an opportunity to sharpen their driving skills, in a unique setting, before a large, appreciative crowd. We know that we already have a busy schedule, but for these young kids, aged 4-7, this returns to them to be at, and compete on, the same race track that the heroes they look up to do also.”

A strict set of specifications have been developed for the Kid Kart division.

“We know how badly the parents want to win and they have often circumvented the specs in an attempt to put their son or daughter into victory lane,” Boos said. “But the Rumble is about the kids and how they just want to have fun and learn to race. We will have no tolerance on the specs this year – just let the kids race.”

The specs can be found on www.rumbleinfortwayne.com

Joining the Kid Karts at the Rumble this year will be the North Baltimore Custom Cuts winged 600cc Midgets,  LiUNA non-winged 600’s, Midgets and multiple divisions within the Baker Racing Engines Quarter Midget Division.

Advance tickets are available through Ticketmaster or at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum box office, and on race day.

For those unable to make the trek to Fort Wayne, this year’s program will be live streamed in its entirety via Pit Row TVand SPEED SPORT TV.
