West Coast sprint car ace Justin Sanders will pilot the No. 39m sprint car for Macri Motorsports through the Jackson Nationals, according to a Tweet from the team that was posted on Friday afternoon.
This news comes after Anthony Macri vacated the seat of the family-owned sprint car on the eve of the Eldora Million.
Due to prior commitments, Sanders first race in the No. 39m will be at Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway on July 27.
Macri Motorsports has yet to fill the seat for the High Limit Sprint Car Series race on July 25 at Pennsylvania’s Grandview Speedway, but noted that a driver will soon be announced.
“Macri Motorsports is excited for the future with a fresh beginning,” the team wrote on Twitter.

It will be the second No. 39 machine Sanders has wheeled this season, as he previously ran a number of races aboard Kevin Swindell’s No. 39 entry.
Meanwhile, Anthony Macri has accepted a pair of rides for upcoming races. He’s currently piloting the No. 7bc Clauson Marshall sprint car in place of injured Tyler Courtney. He will also run some races with Bernie Stuebgen’s Indy Race Parts operation.
