It’s Larson Over Dewease In National Sprint Rankings

CONCORD, N.C. – Kyle Larson is making the weekly release of the National Sprint Car Rankings a mere formality.

With a sweep of the two World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series events in North Dakota over the weekend, Larson extended his advantage atop the weekly rankings.

The driver of the Paul Silva-owned No. 57 now boasts an average finish of 3.313 in 48 starts, with a national-best 26 victories.

Having surpassed the 20-start mark over the weekend, Pennsylvania racer Lance Dewease enters the national rankings in second with a 4.810 average finish in 21 starts.

Brad Sweet is third in the standings with a 5.658 average finish in 38 starts, while Ohio racer Cap Henry debuts at fourth with an average finish of 5.7 in 20 starts, including 10 victories. Fifth is David Gravel with an average finish of 6.0 in 39 starts.

Fifty-eight drivers have reached the mandatory 20-start plateau to be ranked. Brock Zearfoss, Cory Eliason and Danny Dietrich have all surpassed 50 starts and are dropping their worst finishes every time they compete.

Regional leaders are Dietrich (Eastern), Henry (Great Lakes), Sweet (Great Plains), Jacob Patton (Mid-America), Brandon Spithaler (OH-PA) and Justin Sanders (Western).

Eighty-one drivers have won the 214 features run this season.
