TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Chase Stockon made it a weekend sweep with the Midwest Sprint Car Series with a victory Sunday night at the Terre Haute Action Track.
Stockon started second alongside polesitter Logan Seavey for the feature, with Seavey getting the jump during the opening circuits as Stockon fell into a battle with Jason McDougal for second.
The first and only caution came on lap three for Jadon Rogers flipping in turn four. He walked away from the crash unhurt.
Seavey pulled back out into the lead when the race resumed, with McDougal briefly taking second from Stockon on lap six by hugging the bottom while Stockon stuck to the top.
After nine laps Stockon began to make the top work and he bypassed his KO Motorsports teammate McDougal to regain second before beginning his pursuit of Seavey.
At the halfway point in the 25-lap feature Stockon caught Seavey as they began to catch the tail of the field. Sticking to the top, Stockon roared around Seavey going into turn three at the half-mile dirt oval to take the lead.
Once out front Stockon pulled away, eventually beating Seavey to the checkered flag by a full straightaway.
“We had a perfect weekend. Set quick time both nights, won our heat race both nights and won the A both nights,” said Stockon, who also won Saturday’s feature at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. “That’s something we always dream of doing.
“Logan, the first part of that feature, he set a great pace. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to reel him back in.”
McDougal was a distant third, followed by Mitch Wissmiller and Brandon Mattox.
The race was broadcast by SPEED SPORT TV affiliate Dirt2Media.

Chase Stockon, Logan Seavey, Jason McDougal, Mitch Wissmiller, Brandon Mattox, Carson Garrett, Max Guilford, Brandon Morin, Cole Bodine, Collin Ambrose, Anthony Leohr, Steve Thomas, Landon Simon, Jadon Rogers, Aric Gentry.
