CANTON, Ill. — Jerrod Hull led from green to checker to capture his fourth career Tom Knowles Memorial triumph and his fourth Monster Energy™ Sprint Car Series win of 2011. Saturday’s victory at Spoon River Speedway paid him $2,000.

Despite several early race yellow flags, Hull led from the start and kept his No. 12 out front throughout the event on the three-eighths-mile oval.

“We had to stay smooth,” said Hull. “I was a little worried about the tires, so we kept it straight. Scott Bonar had the car set up really nice. I also have to thank Jeff Hicks, Colton and Roger for helping us tonight. Canton is one of my favorite places to race. It’s high-banked and I love it.”

Ryan Bunton finished second.

“We can’t complain,” he said. “The car was good. We were battling some brake issues the whole race. I’m glad we could get it together. I’d like to thank my family for coming out here, and my crew. Hats off to Jerrod, he does a great job.”

Chris Urish, Jim Moughan, Jr. and Robbie Standridge completed the top five.

The finish:

Jerrod Hull, Ryan Bunton, Chris Urish, Jim Moughan, Jr., Robbie Standridge, J.C. Bland, Korey Weyant, Bret Tripplett, Matt Sutton, Mike Hess, Jimmy Hurley, Jeremy Standridge, Andy Baugh, Matt Harms, A.J. Bruns, Nathan Charron, Ben Wagoner, Justin Springer, Mitch Wissmiller, Joey Moughan.
