ORVILLE, Ohio — Wayne County Speedway kicked off a perfect Saturday afternoon with a packed house of fans as the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Ass’n visited the Ohio bullring.
Driver Cap Henry came to Wayne County with a full head of steam, along with all the confidence in the world, coming of a victory Friday night before at Attica Raceway Park. Henry was looking to make it a double header weekend and from the get go he looked to be the car to beat.
He came from last in his heat race to score the eight-lap victory in convincing style. Taking the lead at lap seven of the 25-lap A-Main, he would not be denied as he sailed under the checkers for the second consecutive night, nabbing the $3,000 check.
“The guys gave me a really good car all night long,” said Henry. “We were able to drive from the back of my heat race and win it, then in the A I had to be little patient early before getting the lead. I had a good car just had to be patient and not crash it. These wins are hard to come by, so to pick up two in one weekend keeps the hopes up a little better. For us to come here from Attica, we run pretty much the same car, just change the gear setup a little bit, it was a great race and good win for the team.”
Jordan Harble finished second with Cole Macedo, Nate Dussel and Brandon Spithaler filling the top five.
