LIMA, Ohio — Limaland Motorsports Park hosted its first sprint car race since 2019 and fans weren’t disappointed as Harli White topped the 22nd running of the Run for the Rabbit for the K&L Ready Mix Sprint Invaders.
Shawn Dancer and Jared Horstman shared the front row for the 25-lap feature that honored Travis “The Rabbit” Miller.
Horstman grabbed the lead until the yellow flag waved when Ricky Peterson came up short attempting a slide job on Dancer, sending Dancer into the wall.
Driving Ed Neumeister’s No. 11n, White inherited the pole for the restart. She didn’t waste the opportunity. White would take off with the lead and try to stretch it out over Horstman.
The leaders fournd themselves in lapped traffic on lap six and Horstman began to close on the leader. Horstman got as close as two car lengths multiple times to White while the duo worked lapped traffic, until caution waved on lap 19 for a spinning Dan McCarron.
White took advantage of the clear track to pull away for the victory and become the first female winner in NRA Sprint Invader competition.
Connor Leoffler would charge late to finish second with Randy Hannagan, Peterson and Horstman rounding out the top five.
Todd Sherman picked up his 50th career Northwest Physical Therapy UMP Modified victory. Tony Anderson bagged his 49th career Bud Thunderstock victory, and 54th feature win at Limaland overall.
