Frank Flud Takes Two Again With NOW600

SAPULPA, Okla. – Frank Flud won two features for the sixth time this season with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division and Tyler Kuykendall became the 26th different series winner this year on Saturday evening at Creek County Speedway.

Flud bested 38 other entrants in Stock Non-Wing action and 39 fellow racers in Winged A Class competition to add to his total as the series’ winningest driver while Kuykendall posted his second career Restricted A Class win with the national series.

Flud advanced from third to pick up his 11th NOW600 Series Stock Non-Wing victory of the season and the fourth at Creek County Speedway. Chelby Hinton finished second with Bryant Wiedeman third, Kyle Thompson fourth and Kenton Brewer fifth.

Chase Porter, Mason Daugherty, Jack Kassik, Flud and Brody Mclaughlin won the heat races. Jayson Campbell and Johnny Boland were the B Main winners.

Flud scored his ninth Winged A Class triumph – the third at Creek County Speedway – after garnering the pole position for the A Main. Wiedeman placed second with Noah Key third, series champion Jade Avedisian fourth and Ryan Timms fifth.

Wiedeman, Rees Moran, Flud, Daugherty and Avedisian each claimed a heat race victory. Kassik and Gerald Ray split the B Main wins.

Kuykendall became the ninth different NOW600 Series Restricted A Class feature winner this season. Avedisian, who owns a 36-point lead in the championship standings heading into the final race of the season, earned a runner-up result. Kayden Cole was third with Garrett Benson, who is second in the standings, rallying from 10th to fourth. Megan Thomas rounded out the top five.

Avedisian, Ethan Ayars and Brecken Reese captured the heat races. Jack Thomas won the lone B Main.
