Flud Doubles Down At Port City

TULSA, Okla. — Frank Flud doubled up for the second time this season and Rees Moran garnered his third career Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Tel-Star Technologies feature triumph on Friday at Port City Raceway, which hosted the second round of the third annual Oil Capital Clash.

Flud won both the Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class main events and he extended his lead in the championship standings in both divisions thanks to the winning performances, which give him six victories with the series this season.

Flud scored his second Stock Non-Wing win of the year and he held off a number of hard chargers. Chris Cochran maneuvered from eighth to second place. Gage Robb rallied from 10th to third. Jace McIntosh powered from 12th to fourth and Chris Andrews hustled from 17th to fifth.

Flud drove from sixth to produce his fourth Winged ‘A’ Class triumph of the season. Trey Robb advanced from eighth to second place with Cole Roberts, Garth Kasiner and Riley Goodno rounding out the top five, respectively.

Moran was victorious in the Restricted ‘A’ Class main event as points leader Ryan Timms placed second. Brody Mclaughlin was third with Landon Danuser fourth and Ryder Laplante fifth.
