MERIDIAN, Idaho — The Must See Racing Sprints Series presented by Engine Pro and the Maxima Racing Oils Midwest Light Series are in the final stretch of the season. And first up, is the 7th annual Pink Lady Classic, Sept. 24-25, at Meridian Speedway.
Must See Racing will take on a promotional role in the Pink Lady Classic. The race annually pays homage to the legendary pink 1969 Grant King sprint car that Kenny Hamilton raced for nearly five decades. The NSRA/Speed Tour event will pay a whopping $20,000 to win on Saturday night. Both nights racing action will be televised at a later date on MAVTV as part of the SPEED SPORT/Must See Racing program.
The following weekend will see the MSR Lights series in action Oct. 2-3 at M-40 Speedway in Jones, Michigan. It will be the inaugural visit for the MSR Lights series to M-40. The series will feature two complete days of racing. The Lights Series has proven to be highly competitive in 2021. There have been six different winners of the seven events including Jason Rader at the Ohio’s Shadybowl Speedway on Aug. 13 and Joshua Sexton on Aug. 21 at Lorain County Raceway Park in South Amherst, each celebrating their first MSR victories.
The MSR 410 series will head south to Montgomery (Ala.) Speedway Oct. 8-9. It will be the first time the series has been to Alabama in several seasons. Two days of complete programs are planned. It will also be the first visit to Montgomery Speedway. The event is expected to draw several new cars who don’t regularly compete with the series including local Alabama late model standout Dave Mader III. Mader finished runner-up in the ARCA event at Talladega Super Speedway in April. Mader III will be making his MSR debut.
The 2021 MSR season will conclude with another two-day event at Lorain County Raceway Park Oct. 16-17. The weekend will include two full days of action at the track that had become the unofficial home to the MSR lights. This will be the fifth and sixth time the series has competed at LCRP this season. A MSR Lights champion will be crowned at the conclusion of the weekend.
