Fast Time Bonuses Available At Wild Wing Shootout

SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. — With the opening night of the inaugural Schaeffer’s Oil Wild Wing Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts just a month away, drivers in both the 410 winged sprint car and IMCA Modified drivers have added cash money on the line each night during qualifications.

California-business WKD Electric is posting a nightly $100 Fast Qualifier bonus for the Sprint Car ranks, while the second annual California IMCA Speedweek is posting a $100 nightly Fast Qualifier bonus for the IMCA Modified racers. Racers in each division will look to claim the extra cash and extra bragging rights on Jan. 22-24 at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway.

“A major thanks goes out to both WKD Electric and the California IMCA Speedweek for getting behind the cause and sponsoring some extra cash. If a driver sets fast time all three nights, that’s a cool $300 for a handful of quick laps,” event co-promoter Chris Kearns said. “As the event draws closer, I’m truly humbled at all of the support that we have, and I’m also thrilled to see how many fans and drivers are showing excitement for the event.”

WKD Electric is based in Gridley, California and serves the Norther California area with all of their electrical needs. With specialties in residential, commercial, industrial, and remodels, the company can handle the work of any-and-all customers.

Meanwhile, the California IMCA Speedweek is gearing up for its second edition as IMCA Modifieds and SportMods prepare to tour The Golden State. Spanning April 30 – May 8, the miniseries visits eight tracks in nine days, including Bakersfield Speedway, Thunderbowl Raceway, Merced Speedway, Antioch Speedway, Petaluma Speedway, Placerville Speedway, and Silver Dollar Speedway.
