Eliason Is New National Sprint Ranking Leader

CONCORD, N.C. – After the busiest weekend of 410 sprint car competition of the season, three drivers have now reached the required 20 starts to be listed in the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Cory Eliason, with 24 starts, stands at the top of the charts with an average finish of 8.667. Danny Dietrich and Brock Zearfoss round out the top three.

Two-time Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions titlist Aaron Reutzel has 19 starts and an average finish of 7.316. With 15 races in the books, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series point leader Brad Sweet has an average finish of 3.4.

Kyle Larson has won a national-best seven features, including five in a row, and has an average finish of 5.588 in 17 races.

On the strength of a two-victory weekend, Freddie Rahmer has taken the lead in the Eastern region standings, while Cap Henry, who also won twice over the weekend, leads the Great Lakes region.

Sweet tops the Great Plains region and Larson is best in the Mid-America standings. Tim Shaffer leads the Ohio-Pennsylvania region and Eliason is setting the pace in the Western region, with six of the seven regions now in action.

Thirty-five drivers have won the 59 features contested this season.
