MACON, Ill. — Zach Daum won Saturday night’s Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series feature at Macon Speedway.
Daum shared the front row for the feature with Korey Weyant, who took the early lead. Daum, however, made an early pass to grab the top spot on the fifth-mile track.
Daum used lapped traffic to pull away from Weyant. Fourth-starting Kameron Key and sixth starting Terry Babb were running in third and fourth consecutively, as Babb gave it all he had to track down Key.
As the laps wound down, Key was gaining ground on Daum, but was just short of scoring his first MOWA Sprint Car Series victory.
As the checkered flag waved over the field, Daum picked up the win, recording his second career feature victory with the MOWA Sprints.
Key finished second, ahead of Babb, Dustin Barks and Weyant.
Jose Parga won the pro late model feature and Kevin Crowder topped the DIRTcar modified main event. Nick Macklin won the street stock race and Brady Reed scored in hornets.
