UPLAND, Calif. – Sheldon Creed, who recently captured the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series championship at Phoenix Raceway, will be teaming with Sexton Gatlin Racing for the final California Lightning Sprint Car Series races season.
Creed will compete in the November Classic on Nov. 17 at Bakersfield Speedway before heading to Placerville Speedway to compete during Hangtown 100 weekend on Nov. 19-21.
Creed’s last appearance with the California Lightning Sprints came at the Barona Speedway on April 6, 2019, when he finished third in the main event. At Bakersfield, he will battle with many of the same drivers he mixed it up with at Barona including five-time California Lightning Sprints champion Bobby Michnowicz, Cody Nigh, A.J. Bender and Brent Sexton.
Also, amongst the entrants at the track will be rising teenage stars Grant Sexton, Ryan Greco, Aiden Lange and Dominic Del Monte.
After one night off, the California Lightning Sprints will venture north to Placerville and be joined by the Bay Cities Racing Ass’n for three straight nights of racing. All four of next week’s races will also feature the USAC National and Western States Midgets on the program.
